2023-25 Biennial State Budget JFC Public Hearings
On February 15, Governor Evers released his proposed Wisconsin State Biennial Budget for the fiscal years 2023-2025. Governor Evers’ proposed Budget was introduced into the Legislature as AB 43 and SB 70 and assigned to the Joint Finance Committee.
Today, the Joint Finance Committee co-chairs Senator Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green) and Representative Mark Born (R-Beaver Dam) announced the schedule for public hearings for the 2023-25 Biennial Budget before the JFC convenes to take votes on all aspects of the Budget. It is unfortunate that the JFC leadership scheduled each public hearing in the middle of a workday, which will make it difficult for a large portion of our state’s population to travel to and attend a Budget hearing to testify about the State’s Biennial Budget, which has deep impacts on our lives and livelihoods.
We encourage you and your members to participate in the public hearings to voice how the proposed Budget’s many policies affect working families, our jobs, and our unions. Last, the JFC has established a website and an email address to communicate with JFC members:
