A statement from Business Manager Jim Meyer on the Data Center Pause Act:

IBEW Local 2150 supports common sense solutions around this important issue. We don’t support unserious publicity stunts like this.

 This bill would instantly put thousands and thousands of hard-working union men and women out of work. That is not a solution, that is an attack on working people.

We all agree that data centers should not shift energy costs to other customers. That is why we are supporting the data center rate plan put forward by We Energies. That plan protects customers from data center costs without putting our hard-working men and women out of work.
