Assistant Business Manager Mike Bellcock has announced his retirement effective October 31, 2025. Local 2150 will be seeking to hire his replacement within the next several months.

Primary duties of the new Business Agent will include servicing the Outside Construction contracts as well as assisting with the Line Clearance Tree Trimming contracts. Duties would include, but not be limited to negotiating contracts, answering members’ and contractors’ questions, writing and processing grievances, operating the Local’s out of work books and referral system and assisting in the Local’s organizing of new members and new contractors.

Substantial travel and time away from home are an expectation of the position. Candidates should have experience working in Outside Line Construction, preferably with previous involvment in union operations/meetings and some experience and knowledge of union issues such as answering contract questions and handling grievances. Preferred candidates should also have proven ability to establish relationships and communicate well with the membership as well as management from the contactors or customers. Verbal and written communication skills and familiarity with computer operation are essential to the position, spreadsheet experience and document formatting would be a plus.
