Decorah Gordon, member, Unit 10 Chair, and Executive Board member was awarded the Werner J Schaefer award for volunteer and community service work. From cooking meals for 80 men at the Guest House of Milwaukee to organizing community clean-ups and Wisconsin’s first commemorative March on Washington in Milwaukee County. It all took time and stands for what Werner J Schaefer believed in for the Labor Movement.
Award was given on September 23, 2021, at the United Way Kickoff. Presented by President Pam Fendt of Milwaukee Area Labor Council.
