WI PSC Approves 2 New Gas Power Plants for WE Energies 

On Thursday, May 22nd, the Wisconsin PSC approved two new natural gas power plants for WE Energies. A 1,000-MW power plant is to be located at the Oak Creek campus and a second 185-MW power plant which will be located at the Paris Solar Field.  IBEW Local 2150 supported WE Energies' effort to build and operate both of these new power plants as we transition towards a future of clean electrical generation.  Local 2150 is also committed to providing safe and reliable power for everyone in Wisconsin.  Our members will build the infrastructure and provide the staffing to maintain both of these new power plants. We look forward to meeting the challenges of the future energy demands of Wisconsin.
