Business Manager's Report – M. Follett

-     NLRB Charge – Agreed to a voluntary settlement payment, members are to be notified in the change made to the Resource Sharing Agreement, etc.

-     In an effort to avoid potential loss of members’ dues payments being left in the USPS mailbox, have researched the purchase/installation of a drop box to be used for member dues payments.  Approved recommendation for membership approval of the purchase/installation of a drop box (up to $200) for dues payments.

-     PBNP:

      -     Outage going okay.  Should be done within the next week.

      -     No progress on ERO training/qualification/pay issues for professional contracts at PBNP because of outage.  L.U. 2150 has filed a grievance to help push toward resolution.

      -     Company is offering voluntary severance to some PBNP L.U. 2150 members.  Up to about 15 reductions could take place in specific occupations; about 25 members meet eligibility requirements.  We believe the company has no plan currently to pursue involuntary severance, but if they did, the contract language of layoff and bumping would apply.
