Sounds crazy but its true! Why Wait? You never know what will come up on election day. Car trouble, sick kids, bad weather, sent out of state on storm work, shark attack (it is 2020 who knows!) why take that chance only to deal with long lines on election day? There are two easy options to make sure you get to vote:
- Request an absentee ballot. You can do that now at http://www.myvote.wi.gov. If you haven’t had your ID verified before you may have to upload a picture of it before your ballot will be sent out. But then it comes in the mail and you can either mail it back or, if you don’t trust the mail, drop it in a drop box or at the County Clerk. You can recheck that same website to see if your ballot has been received in either case.
- Vote Early! Wisconsin voters can also vote early in person. The period for in person absentee voting runs from Tues Oct 20 till Nov 1st but dates and hours may vary depending on where you live so check myvote.wi.gov for hours where you live.
