IBEW-ATC Substation Construction Safety Liaison
ATC, IBEW locals 2150/953/876, MJ Electric, L.E. Myers, and MP Systems are looking for an additional construction management field safety liaison position.
The safety liaison will:
• Have at least 8 years of utility transmission substation construction experience with a reputation for working safely and hold a journeyman level certification.
• Spend the majority of work time visiting substation construction crews observing work practices, providing insights, and advocating for the safety of construction workers throughout the ATC footprint in Wisconsin and Michigan.
• The position is a Local 2150/953/876 bargaining unit member, classified similarly to a Foreman.
• The position is employed by L.E. Myers, MJ Electric or MP Systems , but works directly with an IBEW Business Manager, Safety Liaisons, ATC substation subject matter experts and the ATC Safety Liaison Program Manager.
• Report information in a way that will honor confidentiality and will not implicate individuals or groups of individuals with respect to safety concerns. Reported information will not be used for punitive or disciplinary purposes except certain critical rules will be discussed directly between ATC and the applicable local union and contractor.
